KEY SKILLS

Government organisations require a more patient approach. Whilst they desire as high a standard of professional skill as for business organisations, the consultant has to also navigate a way through a broader set of stakeholder needs, political considerations, silo mentality and less flexibility in budgetary practice. Many of these complications can be handled objectively, however, a higher level of subjectivity frequently occurs in planning and decision-making - hence the need for patience and compromise.
